HIGHS AND LOWS

During this module I experienced quite a few ups and downs, due to illness we were unable to do our filming and shooting on the original day and then the camera shop was in fact not opened the second time we organised another day. This put a set back to our timeline for getting things done for our deadline, so we had to quickly film the second part on our video, which meant we didnt get to stick too our storyboard. As well as this, models dropped out which meant we had to take part in the videos and photos a lot ourselves, although this taught us how to work together and improvise when things don't go to plan. Although we managed to get everything done for the deadline, I wasn't fully satisfied with my work, I think it's because once I start a module I get very carried away and try doing as much as possible, although this means that I decide my theme and layout very early on, so I find it difficult to then change the pages so they all correspond. The last problem I encountered was that I couldnt print onto a stitch leaflet as it was landscape. Which meant I had to print it off as a bound book and also a lot of the images came out pixelated, but I'm nt sure why as everything was made on A3 Photoshop then embedded into InDesign. I think to improve this module I would've taken time on eveything a bit more than rush it, also ensuring that I do it portrait and ensure my images are not pixelated. But I really enjoying styling, shooting, filming and editing beause I hadn't done it before properly with better equipment so It was interesting to me to learn how to use everything and create a professional shoot. A large majority of the photos were taken by me as I really enjoyed being able to find good angles and lighting to product good photographs although after our first shoot we found a lot of the photographs were quite grainy due to the dim lighting in some of the locations, therefore in future we also would've rented out a light too.
