I decided to go out into some shops to try and find appropriate Northern Soul inspired clothing that I could style for the photoshoot. I went to 4 vintage shops around Sheffield and found one place in which they would allow us to borrow clothing and take photos in the clothing inside the store, another store was very cheap so my group and I bought some old braces and an old-style corduroy jacket to use for one of our male outfits. Then I ventured out alone into some high-street stores in Meadowhall to see if there was anything more modern that would work well, that I could potentially buy for the shoot. I went into shops such as Size, Urban Outfitters; shops that were a bit more edgy, in hope that this would help me find another garment or two that would be suitable to use. I ended up buying a small sized Fred Perry t-shirt as Fred Perry was an iconic brand during the Northern Soul times.
