Photography and Styling Workshop

In the photography and styling workshop, me and my group experimented with modelling, putting ensembles together and trying fashion photography. Our styles surrounded a sporty look but paired with a garment or accessory that doesn't particularly co-ordinate, in order to create an edge to the style. Our vision in this shoot was to play around with the angles and poses, so that we could see how we wanted to photograph and direct our models in our final styling shoot. We tried a few locations, such as the industrial tiled staircase, a lift and a windowsill, we also accompanied a few photographs with a reflective pillar, in which we had the models pose on/ next to to create interesting mirror and light reflections. When it came to editing, I tried a different effects/style on every 3 photographs, that you can see on my Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/fmc_georgiarogerson/ , such as 3D, glitch, and grainy effects. I made those by using apps on my iPhone which includes; VSCO cam, Instabit, Afterlight and Glitch Studio. Then by using a GIF maker app on my iPhone, I played around with making GIFs with photographs in which the models only moved slightly, but also multiple photos of different effects, to give more of a quick lookbook. GIFs are a great way of showing the audience multiple photos quickly to ensure they don't loose interest, as people have very quick attention spans. After editing my photographs I decided I really like the glitch effects and old film borders, which I am going to use to edit some of the best photographs from my final shoot.
